Arte de Origen is a company that produces and designs unique pieces inspired by images from different Mexican and Latin-American cultures.
We inbed such images in; carpets, boxes, furniture, mirrors and sculptures, made entirely by hand. We mainly use, paper, fabrics, metal, paints, patinas and lacquer, thus creating unique pieces, finished with wax and pigments.
We use the collage technique to create our pieces. These are: small pieces of paper cut by hand to create the layout of each piece and and demonstrates its handmade craftsmanship. By being created in this way every piece is uniquely made.
For some pieces the technique is used on objects with wooden bases and tapestries are made first of Kraft paper. Paint is not used; we work instead with the original colors of the paper. All of the pieces are finished with a patina wax technique.

The pieces made by Arte de Origen and their designs where inspired by different images, based on the heritage of some of the primary ancient indigenous cultures throughout the American continent.
We took textiles and silverware creations from the Mapuches from the southern continent located in the south of Chile and the southwest of Argentina.
The Coya`s culture, located in the present territory of Bolivia. Also located in northern Argentina in the provinces of Jujuy, Salta and the province of Tucuman and in small northern Chileanís, in the Region of Atacama. Our designs are based on their textiles and music.
The vastly extensive Inca culture found throughout the continent has its origins in Peruvian territory. We develop designs base on their work, such as: pottery, paintings, jewelry, architecture and textiles..
The Mayan civilization inhabits a vast region known as Mesoamerica, in the territory now made up of five southeastern states of Mexico, that are, Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Tabasco and Yucatan and in Central America in the current territories of Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, with approximately 3,000 years of history.
Their art was based mainly on: carvings, pottery, ceramics, feather art, music and architecture.
The Aztec culture located in what is now Central Mexico.
They were well known for their art in: sculpture, music, song and dance.
Arte de Origen draws from various images and cultural expressions and artistic styles created by their villages of origin, based mainly on their textile creations and ceramics and from there we create new contemporary images bringing a new trend to the contemporary world. Our wish is to show how different and unique pieces can be when they are created with sensitivity and meaning.
